This week Coach Wolforth and Jill discuss a variety of topics including Mariano Rivera's injury, a mom suing her son's basketball team for cutting him and the future of bake sales in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  All these topics seem unrelated but there is an underlying message they all share and Coach & Jill talk about the dangers of that message.

The classroom segment features James Allen's classic book As a Man Thinketh. Listen as they share it's powerful message and how its teachings apply to all of us.

This week Coach Wolforth & Jill discuss the good and bad happenings with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.  They also take a look at college baseball attendance numbers and the newest trend being seen there.  You may or may not be surprised.

This week Coach Wolforth & Jill discuss the surprises in the first few weeks of the regular season, both teams and players.  Some of these have been talked about on many sports shows but others may surprise you.

The Classroom segment is titled "True Grit" and no they won't be discussing the classic movie by John Wayne or the newer version by Jeff Bridges.  They will be talking 'True Grit' as defined by researchers studying West Point cadets and several other Special Forces.

This week Coach Wolforth and Jill talk about the beginning of the MLB season. As they say, even for Cubs' fans, "Hope Springs Eternal".  The Wolforth's also got the MLB channel a month ago and as you can imagine, it dominates their viewing.  Recently the MLB channel did a show about the Top 100 players in the Major Leagues for 2012 and Coach & Jill are going to share some thoughts on that.

The Classroom Segment is titled "What to do when you struggle".  It's one of the most common topics this time of year now that everyone is playing. 

This week Coach Wolforth & Jill are going to discuss their trip to Spring Training including both the Cactus and Grapefruit leagues where they were able to catch up with most of their clients.  Coach will also share hilights from his 3 hour conversation with Paul DePodesta, V.P. of Player Development with the New York Mets.  Many Let's Talk Baseball listeners will recognize that name from the movie Moneyball as Paul was Billy Bean's right hand man with the A's. 

In the classroom segment, Coach & Jill will be talking about two different types of mindsets in development, the Training Mindset and the Trusting Mindset and why each is critical to any baseball or softball player's success.

This week Coach Wolforth & Jill discuss the role media plays in sports and in our lives.  They look at 6 instances from the past week, 3 inside of baseball and 3 outside of baseball, where the media took a person's comments and created a story out of them.  The message is clear, words mean things and in today's 24/7 cable culture the media is more powerful than ever.

In the classroom segment Coach & Jill are going to discuss the new movie Act of Valor and the many lessons that can be taken from it.

This week Coach Wolforth and Jill have a special treat for "Let's Talk Baseball" listeners.  Coach Wolforh's professional players are all off to Spring Training.  The last one to leave was St. Louis Cardinal's pitcher Cody Springer.  The day before his trip to Florida Cody sat down with Coach & Jill to do an interview for Coach's Pitching Central Inner Circle. 

The content of the interview was so informative that Coach and Jill have decided to share it with everyone.  Have your notepads ready as Cody, who has been a student with Coach Wolforth for over 10 years, hilights the process that has gotten him to professional baseball and what he continues to do on a regular basis.

On this week's show Coach Wolforth and Jill discuss the reversal of Ryan Braun's 50 game suspension and what it means to the texture of the game itself.  Also, this is the week the last of their Minor League players head out for Spring Training.  They want to give them a ranch send off and let the Let's Talk Baseball audience know who to follow and keep in their prayers.

In the Classroom Segment, they have the final lesson in their series "Lessons to Exceptional Performance".  This week's subject "Doing Extraordinary Things is Simply Doing Ordinary Things Extraordinaryly Well."

This week Coach Wolforth and Jill discuss the pros and cons of early specialization for youth athletes.  There are varying opinions on the subject and they share theirs.
