A new book recently came out from Mitchell Zuckoff titled "13 Hours". It is a harrowing inside account of what really happened in Benghazi. The overall lesson from the book, from Coach Wolforth's perspective, is how we make very poor, unwise and inefficient decisions when we get distracted or off course. In Benghazi the distractions were primarily geo-policitcal. In the world of sports and especially in our own personal development, those distractions, although usually not geo-political, can be just as detrimental to growth and development. On this week's show coaches Ron & Jill Wolforth will discuss the book and apply its lessons to baseball/softball training and development. Then in the Classroom Segment they will continue their discussion on "Off-Season Strength and Conditioning" with this weeks focus on the common mistakes made by many programs. |
