There's a new sheriff in town in Boston.  This week Coach Wolforth and Jill will disuss the Boston Red Sox's hiring of Bobby Valentine as their new manager.  They'll share some of the speculation on whether this is a good or bad move for Boston.  They've also got another interesting move by the Texas Rangers in hiring future Hall of Famer Greg Maddux as Special Assistant to the General Manager.  Find out their thoughts on this move.

The St. Louis Cardinals squeak into the playoffs and walk-away with the ring while the Texas Rangers go home empty handed for the second straight year.  This week Coach and Jill will talk about the exciting series as well as the retirement of Cardinals Manager Tony Larussa.  They'll also share some highlights from their recent trip to California.

On this week's show Coach and Jill discuss recent articles in the Boston Globe and USA Today detailing the behind the scenes drama of the historic collapse of the Boston Red Sox.  As usual, Coach has a definite opinion about creating an organizational culture and what lessons we can pull from the 2011 Boston Red Sox.

Playoffs are here and what an exciting finish to the regular season.  Many people are talking about the September collapse of the Red Sox & Braves.  Coach Wolforth and Jill will touch on that but their focus this week is on two last day decisions, one by a player and the other by a playoff team, that they found to be the most intriguing and possibly disturbing of all the events taking place on the final day of the 2011 regular season.  Find out what those were.

The classroom segment has an interesting story this week.  Recently, Philadephia was in Houston to play a 3-game series with the Astros.  Coach received a call from one of the Phillies asking to personally work with him while he was in town.  In the classroom segment, Coach and Jill will tell you who that Philly player was, what work they did together and what you can take away from their time together.

Every year in early January for the past 17 years the Wolforth's have attended the American Baseball Coaches Association national convention and clinic.  On this week's show Coach Wolforth and Jill share many of the happenings at the 2011 ABCA convention held this past week in Nashville, TN.  They will discuss the downright disgusting incident in the exhibit hall as well as share some comments and lessons from the clinic presentations and pitching hot stove session.

This week's classroom segment will focus on the right way to go about building ANYTHING...a wall, a pitching delivery, a hitting stroke, even a marriage or career.

This week the 2010 Hall of Fame voting will be announced.  Coach & Jil take a brief look at one player Coach believes should definately be voted in this year.  They also spend some time discussing one of baseball's young superstars, Buster Posey, and his interesting baseball career to this point.  Garrett is also back with some Hall of Fame history as well as his baseball trivia.

The classroom segment is on "Making Connections".  People often make poor and/or dangerous connections and need to be aware when that's happening.
